We usually believe that we can control our minds through reason and intelligence.
However, even if this is true in times of peace, we are reminded of how fragile such rationality is when faced with emergencies and war.
I am reminded of this by the information I receive from my acquaintances in Ukraine and elsewhere.
Now, I am most concerned about Jung’s words. No, we should be concerned
What is “the highest source of danger to which people are exposed”?
What is the “source of the highest danger that people threaten themselves with”?
In Buddhist & psychological terms.
“Overwhelming impulses of hatred caused by blindness, karma, and trauma.”
The path to true peace begins when we realize that they are present in our minds.
We need to recognize that the base of trauma is in the brain, a center so powerful that it can hijack the entire brain.
Of course, awareness and recognition are not enough.
We need to find a path (method) that will enable us to contain the impulses that far exceed our ability to reason, and to practice and realize it.
A “It doesn’t matter to me.
B “No, you just don’t realize it. Especially under peaceful circumstances.
‘The greatest danger to man is not famine, earthquakes, microbes, or cancer, but man himself.’
