日蓮大聖人からのメッセージ『わが弟子の僧侶へ』

2025年12月10日朝 5時 50分。唱題をしておりますと、目の前に宝塔が現れまして私はドンドンドンドンと昇っていきました。宇宙の果てまで、虚空の本当の真髄のようなところに行きますと、大きな真実の光がありました。そこで私は真実の光の中へ入るようなその側まで行って唱えておりました。仏陀も唱えておられました。
しばしすると、「日蓮である」という言葉が聞こえてきました。お話を始めようとなさったのです。その気配を察知した私は慌ててメモを取りました。

今こそ、魂の真の覚醒が必要である。我が弟子たちよ、真に目覚めよ。俗的栄誉への執着から離れなければならない。僧侶は、己の欲望に負けてはいけない。民を法の道へ導くのである。今の世の中を変革するためには、人間一人ひとりの魂を本来の姿へ変えなければならない。それができるのは、唯一僧侶である。我の教えである。我は言う。まず、僧侶は僧侶であれ。僧侶本来の姿に戻らなければならない。民衆を闘争へ駆り立たせてはいけない。心の安堵へ導かねばならない。上辺だけの唱えや、慣習の唱題を行っていてはいけない。仏陀と魂が通じる（深いレベルで通じる）唱題をせよ。
仏陀と通じれば、僧侶は今の姿ではなくなる（※1）。まず僧侶は、僧侶であること。我が真に目指したことは、魂の目覚めである。日蓮は決して政権と戦ったのではない。時の政権の間違いを正したのである。民衆のあり方を正したのである。人間本来の魂のあり方を顕したのである。法華経を真に学べばそれが分かる。我は、常に虚空から今の状況を捉えている。今はまさに末法である。末法こそ、民衆の魂が覚醒すべき時である。
まず僧侶が、魂の妙法(※ 2)を唱えよ。僧侶自ら意識改革をして民衆を導かねばならない。

※1 唱題や行事を慣習的に施行するだけの僧侶から真に民衆を目覚めさせる僧侶となる、ということ。

※ 2 ここに言う「魂の妙法」とは、心の表面的な唱題ではなく、魂からの唱え、のことを言う。換言すれば、久遠の仏陀、日蓮大聖人の御たましいとひとつの妙法を唱える、ということです。われらが我(が)を超越して久遠の仏陀と通じた時には、むしろ久遠の仏陀(妙法それ自体)が、わが身心を通して唱えてくださることを体験するのです。涌きいずる御題目のことです。

A Message from Nichiren Daishonin “To My Disciples, the Monks”

December 10, 2025, 5:50 AM. As I chanted the daimoku, a pagoda appeared before my eyes, and I ascended up, up, up. Reaching the very edge of the universe, a place like the true essence of the void, I found a great light of truth. There, I approached the very edge of that light, as if entering it, and continued chanting. The Buddha was chanting too.　After a while, I heard the words, “I am Nichiren.” He was about to begin speaking. Sensing this, I hurriedly took notes.

Now is the time when the true awakening of the soul is necessary. My disciples, awaken truly. You must detach yourselves from attachment to worldly honors. Monks must not succumb to their own desires. They must guide the people onto the path of the Law. To transform the world today, we must restore each human soul to its original state. Only monks can achieve this. This is my teaching. I say: First, monks must be monks. They must return to their true nature. They must not drive the people into strife. They must guide them to peace of mind. They must not engage in superficial chanting or chanting out of habit. Chant the dharma in a way that connects with the Buddha at a deep level.
When connected with the Buddha, the priest ceases to be what he is now (※1). First, the priest must be a priest. What I truly aimed for was the awakening of the soul. Nichiren never fought against the government. He corrected the errors of the government of his time. He corrected the way of the people. He revealed the true nature of the human soul. Truly studying the Lotus Sutra reveals this. I constantly perceive the present situation from the void. This is precisely the Latter Day of the Law. The Latter Day is precisely when the souls of the people must awaken.
First, monks must chant the Soul of Myoho (※2). Monks themselves must reform their consciousness and guide the people.

※1 This means transforming from monks who merely perform chanting and rituals out of habit into monks who truly awaken the people.
※ 2 “ the Soul of Myoho” referred to here means chanting from the soul, not merely superficial chanting Odaimoku. In other words, it means chanting the Myoho that is one with the Eternal Buddha, the soul of Nichiren Daishonin. When we transcend our ego and connect with the Eternal Buddha, we experience the Eternal Buddha (the Myoho itself) chanting through our body and mind. This is the gushing Myoho.
